Beautiful Cooler Days!

I am very excited about getting my Etsy store up and running. I have millions (well, almost) of glass items - lampwork beads, fused cabachons, stained glass panels and suncatchers, jewelry sets, well, you name it, and if it is made with glass, I probably have it! I really am beginning to appreciate all the beautiful work people do when they put their treasures up on the net for sale. A HUGE mount of work goes into it! I hope everyone in this neck of the woods is enjoying a little break from the heat we've had this summer. Have a great weekend - and check out my site on Etsy - StarshineStainedGlas. Susan

Well, here it is - the beginning of another week - to be truthful, every day feels like a Monday to me - lol. I usually work in my stained glass studio, designing and fabricating custom panels for my customers. But, this week I am finishing new unique projects, in order to be ready for a gallery show the first weekend of February. I will be sharing the gallery with an exceptional photographer - we are calling it, Glass and Images - Experience Both". Our works will be in the gallery for the whole month, but on Feb. 8th, we will have the reception, hopefully having a nice crowd of people who love art. I have been a stained glass artisan for 29 years - within the last 4 years, I began fusing glass and lampwork beadmaking. Oh, my gosh!!! I have always loved glass, but to realize I can melt the stuff, and create small, yet substantial pieces, is an outstanding discovery! I will always continue my regular glass work, but am gravitating to more hot and warm glass. I am in the beginning stages of setting up all the needful things on the internet, and to be truthful, without the help of a dear friend, I wouldn't even be talking on this blog now. I'm pretty low-tech on all this stuff, so please bear with me as I "learn the ropes" - I will be so happy to feel like I am able to communicate with this vast audience "out there" - to share experiences, knowledge, and more. Y'all have a great week and I'll be looking forward to talking to you soon. Susan
